Non sono servite le critiche, o comunque non hanno avuto l'effetto che in molti speravano: Beyoncé, accusata di cultural appropriation da parte dei bianchi per aver pubblicato due canzoni country (all'interno del nuovo disco che sarà tutto incentrato su questo genere), festeggia il primo posto di "Texas Hold'em" nella classifica di Billboard dedicata al country, Hot Country Songs.
Il brano era stato annunciato a sorpresa insieme a "16 Carriages" durante uno spot del SuperBowl, tenutosi in Nevada l'11 febbraio 2024, alla presenza dell'intera famiglia Carter-Knowles. Un'impresa più che difficile, quella di diffondere la notizia dell'album durante l'evento sportivo più seguito sulle televisioni di tutto il mondo.
Ma il suo più grande record non è solo il primo posto in classifica, quanto essere stata la prima donna nera a ricoprire questo ruolo, e seconda donna nella storia di Billboard, dopo Taylor Swift che ha primeggiato con Love Story (Taylor’s Version) e All Too Well (Taylor’s Version).
